candy cane/oreo bark

We first melted one package of white chocolate bark on 20 second intervals and stirred.  While I was watching that my partner was crushing up the Oreo and the candy canes.  After about a minute and forty seconds the chocolate was melted and it was time for the Oreo and candy canes to be stirred in.  We put parchment paper on a cookie sheet and put it into the fridge for it to harden for about twenty minutes.  The recipe said to keep it in there for two hours but we thought it was hard enough.  It was delicious and easy to make would recommend to anyone.

mexican stuffed shells

First we preheated the oven to 350.  Then we started to boil the water for the shells, once that was boiled we then added to shells.  We put our ground beef into the pan and started cooking it at medium heat.  When we thought it was done cooking thoroughly we drained all the grease out of the pan.  We then added the taco seasoning and cream cheese into the meat.  Then my partner combined one cup of salsa and one cup of enchilada sauce into a bowl.  Then we poured about half of the mixture into the bottom of the dish.  Then we stuffed the noodles with the ground beef cream cheese mixture.  After we had all the shells in the pan we topped it with the rest of the salsa mixture and covered it with tin foil.  We baked it for 30 minutes and then took it out unwrapped it and added the cheese and put it back in the oven for another 10 minutes.  It was very good and filling.  Adding the cream cheese into the meat made it very creamy and delicious.

chicken parmigiana

First we preheated the oven to 350.  We then prepared the chicken and put tinfoil over a baking sheet.  Then my partner cracked one egg and put it into a shallow bowl and I put breadcrumbs in a separate shallow bowl.  We then dipped the chicken into the egg and then into the breadcrumbs and put it on the sheet of tin foil.  When the oven was ready we put the chicken in for 40 minutes to let it cook.  We checked it at about 30 minutes to see the temp and it was almost 165 so we left it in for the full 40 minutes.  When that was cooking we put half a cup of tomato sauce into the bottom of a separate dish and waited for the chicken to get done.  When the chicken was done we laid the chicken on top of the tomato sauce and then poured more on the chicken and topped with a lot cheese.  We then returned it to the oven for twenty minutes.  This recipe was easy to make and tasted delicious.

Country Fried Chicken

First I placed the chicken into a tall bowl containing milk and other seasoning that you enjoy. I placed plastic covering over top of the bowl. Then placed it into the refrigerator.  Let the chicken sit in the bowl over night.

In a large resealable bowl, combine the flour and seasonings. In a shallow bowl, beat egg and milk. Dip chicken pieces into egg mixture, then dip into the flour, a few pieces at a time, and  coat.  In a large skillet, heat 1/4 in. of oil; fry chicken in oil until browned on all sides. Cover and simmer for 35-40 minutes or until juices run clear and chicken is tender, turning occasionally. Uncover and cook 5 minutes longer.

The chicken was great, tastesd amazing I really enjoyed the flavor the brining over night gave it. The season in the flour that coated the chicken gave it a tangy taste also. The chicken was very tender but the skin was very crispy just like how I like it.
Chicken Cacciatore

Sprinkle the chicken pieces with 1 teaspoon of each salt and pepper. Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour to coat lightly. Then place the  chicken pieces in the flour to coat lightly.
In a large deep fryer, heat the oil until ready. Add the chicken pieces to the pan and saute just until brown, about 5 minutes per side. If all the chicken does not fit in the pan, saute it in 2 batches. Transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside. Add the bell pepper, onion and tomatoes  to the same pan and saute over medium heat until the onion is tender, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Then I  added the wine and simmer until reduced by half, about 3 minutes. Add the tomatoes with their juice, broth, capers and oregano. Return the chicken pieces to the pan and turn them to coat in the sauce.
Using tongs, transfer the chicken to a platter.
Homemade Noodles

First I placed 1 cup of all purpose flours and gradually added it in a medium bowl. Also added 1 egg, and a touch of  salt in the medium bowl. Mixed that together  until stiff. It took a while to get work all the flour through the dough. So I mixed it all together with my hands until the flour was worked through it all.

Next I placed the ball of dough on a tabled sprinkled with flour. And rolled it out with a rolling pin until it was about 1/2 inch thick. The dough was probtably the hardest thing I have ever rolled out in my life. It was very very stiff. That's probably took about 15 minutes itself, just to roll it out.

Finally I rolled the flattened dough up into a cylindrical shape. Then I cut very thin  pieces horizontally. Then I unrolled the cut dough peices and placed them on a pan to sit over night. The noodles were long and thin.

Oreo Candy Cane Bark

The first thing we did was melt the white chocolate for 20 second intervals and would stir. While trust was heating up I crushed up the candy canes and Oreos. Once the chocolate was all melted we added the candy cane and Oreos to the mix and stirred.

We put parchment paper on a cookie sheet and pored the mix onto it and cooled it in the fridge for 20 minutes. Once it was hard we broke it up and put it into containers. It was delicious and so simple to make!

Mexican Stuffed Shells

The first thing we did was preheat our oven to 350. Then we poured water in a pot to boil for our noodles. Once the water was boiling we added the noodles and let them fully cook.We added our ground beef to the pan and put it on medium heat. Once it was cooked thoroughly we drained the grease. We then added our taco seasoning and cream cheese into the meat.

I combined a cup of salsa and a cup of enchilada sauce into a small bowl. We poured half of the mix into the bottom of pan and spread it around. Once our noodles were softened we added the meat into our jumbo shells. We would then place our shells into the pan. Once all of the shells were put together we pored the rest of the sauce onto them. We wrapped the pan in foil and baked our dish for 30 minutes.  We removed the foil and added cheese on top and returned it into the oven for 10 minutes. It was delicious. After eating four I was stuffed. I loved the taste of the shells rather than a taco shell.

Chicken Parmigiana

My partner and I started off by preheating our oven to 350 degrees while we prepped our chicken. We put aluminum foil over our baking sheet so it would be easier to clean up. We put a little bowl out and cracked our egg into it and beat it. In another bowl we put a cup of bread crumbs in it. We then dipped our chicken into the egg then onto the bread crumbs and into the pan.

Once the oven was ready we put it in for 40 minutes until our chicken reached a temp of 165.

Once our chicken was ready we put a half cup of our sauce in our 7x11 baking dish. Added the chicken onto the dish and poured more sauce on. We added our mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses on top and returned the dish into the oven for 20 more minutes.

Our chicken was delicious. I loved this recipe and would make it again.

Chicken Tostadas

The first thing I did was place my tortillas on a baking sheet. I spritzed but sides of the tortillas and then placed them into the oven (350 degrees) for about 7 minutes. While those were being prepared cut my chicken into strips, after they were cut I sprinkled chili powder and cumin seasoning on top of them. Placed them into a large frying pan to be cooked until the juice ran clear out of the chicken. Then I took my tortilla's out of the oven, they had that light brown color that I wanted. After I took the chicken of I put my black beans into the blender to make hem smooth.

After they were finally smooth I poured them it into a medium sized pan, I also added chili powder and cumin into that, mixed it up, and placed on the oven top to bring it to a boil. When they finally came to a boil I took them of the heated surface and set them aside. Then I spread the black bean sauce on the tortillas and placed the chopped chicken on top of that also. Then placed the chopped onions and tomatoes on top of that, and finally sprinkled shredded cheddar cheese on top also.

Finally placed those back into the oven for about 10 more minutes, pretty much just to melt the cheese and brown the vegetables a little. When I got to take them out the whole kitchen started to smell like Mexican food. Such a good smell by the way! They kind of looked like a little hand held pizza. The taste was sensational, I loved every bite. The tortilla acted as crust and the crunchiness went perfect with the creamy feeling from the black bean sauce. The tomatoes and onions contained lots of the flavor in the dish also. With me being a tomato lover I enjoyed it a lot.

cheese cake

Our cheese cake was probably my favorite thing that we have made because of its simplicity and it was good, also because we got to learn something new that we don't use very often which is the water bath.

Making the cheese cake we first started off by blending 4 blocks of cream cheese until it was very smooth and had no lumps so that it almost looked like frosting.

We then added our sugar and blended that, after that we added our eggs blended, and then moved onto adding our flavoring. We decided to use crushed Oreos and then we blended those in, while we were making that part of the cheese cake and allowing things to be blended we also made our crust.

To make the Oreo crust we used about 1.5 cups of our Oreo crumbs and combined that with 2 tablespoons of sugar and 4 tablespoons of melted butter.

We put parchment paper into the spring form pan and packed the crust down we then poured our cheese cake batter into the spring form pan on top of the crust after that we wrapped the pan in aluminum foil and placed it onto a cookie sheet with about two cups of water.

We placed the cheese cake in its water bath into the oven at 325 the cheese cake then cooked for 50-60 minuets once the cheese cake was done it was taken out of the oven and allowed to cool in the refrigerator over night so it could continue setting.

When it was done setting we sprinkled crushed Oreo crumbs onto the top of the cheese cake.

I really enjoyed the cheese cake because it remained moist but the crust and the crushed Oreos that we put not only in the cheese cake but also on the top gave it some crunch and more texture. The cheese cake remained sweet but not extremely sweet because of the cream cheese I would definitely use this recipe again because it turned out great and I have always really loved cheese cake.

Chicken Cacciatore

When making the chicken cacciatore we first started by mixing our flour, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

Then we coated our chicken in the breading and placed the chicken into a skillet we left them until the chicken was browned and then we turned them after the chicken had been browned on both sides we removed the chicken from the skillet.

With our chicken out of the skillet we added in the bell pepper, onion, and garlic to the skillet and let them sauté over medium heat until the onions were slightly browned.

Once the onions were ready we placed the chicken back into the skillet along with tomatoes, oregano, and wine we covered the chicken and allowed it to simmer for 30 minuets over medium heat.

I personally wasn't a huge fan of the way the chicken tasted mostly because I do not like very many of the ingredient although I did like that the method of cooking the chicken that we used didn't take us too long and it kept the chicken with a lot of moisture unlike a lot of the times when chicken becomes dried out easily.

fruit pizza

I think the easiest and quickest recipe so far has been the fruit pizza.

We made it by first making the crust for the fruit pizza which was pretty much a giant sugar cookie.

We started off the crust by whisking together most our dry ingredients which were flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
While we did that we also creamed together the butter and sugars in our standing mixer. We then added in the egg and vanilla into our butter and sugars until it was incorporated.

We then slowly incorporated the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. We then took our dough out of the bowl and spread it onto a lightly greased pan and put it in the oven at 350 until the edges were golden brown which took around 12 minuets.

For our spread we used cream cheese, confectioners sugar(powdered sugar) and vanilla we beat all of the ingredient in a large bowl.

After our cookie crust had cooled we spread our spread evenly onto our cookie crust and cut our fresh fruits to decorate the pizza with.
The fruits we used were oranges, banana, and apples.

I am allergic to citric acid and so I was not able to eat the pizza with the fruit on it although I did still try some of the crust and spread and I thought that it was really good I liked that the spread didn't taste too sweet and it also didn't taste too much like I was just eating cream cheese. I think I would have liked it more if he cookie had stayed a bit softer which it would have if I hadn't made my crust as thin I do still like this recipe and would love to do it again.

country fried chicken

We began this recipe by first creating a brine for the chicken. We made the brine by combining buttermilk, thyme, Tabasco, Worcestershire, salt and pepper into a medium sized container

We then added the chicken and covered it to let it rest in the refrigerator overnight.

The next day when we pulled the chicken out we then breaded it in salt, Cajun and pepper.

After the chicken was coated in the breading we put the chicken into the oil and fried it until it was golden brown

After they were all ready we put them into the oven and cooked them at 350 until the chicken breast was at 165 which was about 30 minuets.

I personally really liked the chicken because brining it kept in the moisture and added some more flavor. The breading and the oil made the chicken crispy and added even more flavor to the already flavorful chicken. I shared it with my cheer squad at practice and everyone liked it as well.

Chicken Parmigiana

This is an Italian dish. The preparation wasn't very hard at all. To start I preheated the oven to 350 degrees. Then I broke one egg and put it in a small bowl. Then I placed one ounce of dried bread crumbs into another small bowl. After that I dipped the chicken into the egg until it was covered with it. Then  I dipped the chicken into bread crumbs until it was completely covered. Then I placed the chicken onto a baking sheet that I had cover with aluminum foil and paced it into the oven for about 35-40 minutes.

Next I took the chicken out of the oven after the 40 minutes of baking. I put the chicken into a baking dish that I poured Ragu sauce in. Then I put more sauce on top of the chicken and sprinkled mozzarella and parmigiana cheese into it. Then I placed it back into the oven for 20 more minutes.

The dish was amazing the sauce and the chicken gave it the spicy taste but he melted cheese gave it moisture also. I tasted like chicken lasagna because it pretty much contains everything a chicken lasagna would. The bread crumbs were new to me for breading chicken so the taste was something I hadn't had before. However the bread crumbs batter was very good, it had a nice spice to it and also had a cheesy taste.

nutella cheese cake

First, we preheated the oven to 325 degrees. Then we put wax paper in the bottom of our cheesecake pan for easier transport and set all of that onto a cookie sheet. The next step was to blend the four blocks of cream cheese. We waited until it was really smooth so we would have a good consistency in our cheese cake. Once it was smooth we added the eggs, Nutella and sugar.  After that was all done we worked on making the crust of the cheese cake.  In a bowl me and my partner mixed the crumbs of the graham crackers, melted margarine, and sugar then mixed it all together. I put it in the cheesecake pan.  Then we poured the mixture into crust and put it into the oven for 50-60 minutes.  We poured water into the pan underneath it to add moisture.  Having it set through the night to let it cool we tried it. It was really good. Definitely will be making it again soon.

Country Fried Chicken

The first thing I had to do was brine my chicken. I used a cup of dry milk and added two cups of water into the mix. I added a tablespoon of vinegar. I combined the the buttermilk, thyme, Worcestershire, 1 tbs of salt, and 1 1/2 tsp of pepper. I mixed them and added my chicken in. I put a lid on it and marinated it in the fridge until the next day.

To start off I set the oven to 350 and in my skillet I added oil and let it heat up. Then I lined a baking sheet with aluminum foil. I put the wrack on the sheet.

In a separate bowl I combined flour, salt, Cajun seasoning, and a tsp of pepper.

I took my chicken from the buttermilk and rolled it around in the flour, dipped it into the buttermilk and rolled it around in the flour once more. Then I added it into my skillet to fry.
I did this with every piece of my chicken. Once both sides of my chicken we're golden brown I put them on my baking rack. I let them cook for 40-50 minutes until the temp reached 165. It was delicious. I give it a 10 out of 10.

Oreo cream cheese cake

The first thing we did to make this cake was, blend our blocks of cream cheese with sugar, and a little bit a vanilla. We blended them untill they were soft, and smooth. While the creame cheese was blending, we crushed up about 2/3 of a pack of oreos. Once crushed, we used the oreos to make a crust in our circular pan about a quarter inch thick. The remainder of the oreos got blended into our cheese cake. Once the cream cheese was ready, we poured it on top of our oreo crost. We the wrapped the pan in tinfoil to prevent water from getting in the cake. We then placed the cake on a cookie sheet, and placed it in the oven. While cooking, we poured water on the cookie sheet to moisten the cheesecake. Then we let it bake for awhile, and it was done!

Overall i really liked this dish, however it was very sweet from the sugar added to the cream cheese. The crust was a little soggy from the cream cheese, but overall the texture was good. The smell was sort of deceiving though, you wouldnt have guessed it was an oreo cheese cake at all. I would overall recommend this recipe to anyone, because its very easy to make!

Oreo Cheese Cake
Oreo Cheesecake is pretty simple to make and also taste very good. The first thing I did before o prepared my cheesecake was preheat the over to 325 degrees. Then I got out my 4 blocks of cream cheese and put them into my kitchen aid to be creamed until smooth. While that was being creamed I was preparing my crust also. I was provided with a device that could cross my 2 rows of Oreo's

for me, after I got my crushed Oreo's in a medium sized bowl I put my softened 4 tablespoons of butter into the bowl. Mix that in then I added 2 tablespoons of sugar into the crust. After I got that all mixed up I saw that my cream cheese was smooth then I added my 4 eggs and slowly creamed that together. After that was smooth I added a teaspoon of vanilla extract into it, and the I let that cream together.

I placed foil around a spring form pan so that no water would leak through into the cake while baking. Then I placed my crust into the spring form pan. Then spread the crust out so that it was covering the bottom of the pan. After that I dumped more Oreo crumbs into the filling and then stirred that until it was all mixed. Then I poured the filling into the pan and made sure that it was smooth across the top. Then I place the pan onto a cookie sheet and placed it into the oven. While it was in the oven I poured 2 cups of water onto the cookie sheet to give the cheesecake the moisture it needed while baking.

The cheesecake was in the over for about an hour, then my teacher turned the oven off to let it cool for about 4 more hours. I believed that my cheesecake turned out very good for being my first time making one. It tasted very rich from the cream cheese but the Oreo's give it that sensational chocolate taste it needs. The texture was definitely smooth and creamy but the crust was crunchy and gave it that extra Oreo taste at the bottom. My mom also tasted it and she thought it was great, she also said it was very rich right after the first bite. I asked her what was the texture and she said it was very smooth and the Oreo's were a great addition to the recipe.

Chicken Cacciatore

To start I combined 2 cups flour, 1/2 tsp, 1/4 tsp in a bowl. I mixed those dry ingredients together.
I heated the 2 tbs of vegetable oil in the large skillet. I cut up my 1/2 onion, 1/2 green pepper, and 1 clove of garlic and set them on the side.

I took each piece of my chicken and put it in the flour mix until covered. I did each piece the same and added it to the skillet to fry.

Once both sides of chicken were browned I removed them from the skillet. I added my vegetables to the skillet and sauté over medium heat until the onion turned slightly brown. I returned my chicken to the skillet and added my can of diced tomatoes, 1/2 tsp and 1/2 cup of wine and let it simmer for 30 minutes over medium low heat. I didn't really enjoy the dish, because I do not like peppers, tomatoes or onions. I give it a 5 out of 10.

Cheesecake-Corissa Hite

To get started we preheated our oven to 325 degrees. Then set our cheesecake pan onto wax paper and onto a cookie sheet. Our first step was to blend the four blocks of cream cheese until very smooth. So smooth until it looks like frosting. Once it was smooth my partner added the 1 1/2 cups of sugar and four eggs, and our 1/3 cup of nutella.
She blended those together while I made the crust. I took one package of graham crackers put them in a baggie and smashed them into crumbs. In a bowl I mixed my crumbs, 2 T of sugar, and 4 T melted margarine and mixed them together. Once mixed well I put it in my cheesecake pan. I used sir-and wrap to evenly spread out my crust.
We poured our mixture into our crust and  put it into the oven for 50-60 minutes.
I poured two cups of water into the pan so add moisture. After letting it set up and cool the next day I tried it. It was delicious. All of my family enjoyed it and wanted to make it.

Chicken Noodle Soup Chase B.

Chicken noodles as many people, including me, see it is a comfort food. With that I wanted to make a simple and delicious chicken noodle soup and my partner was thinking the same way. Our chicken noodle soup was thick, wholesome, and included a lot of  spices to really amplify the flavor.
To start I began with mixing flour, salt, and egg and a little bit of water. Now you will need to use a fork to mix this up. as you mix you need to gradually add in more flour. Now with this your noodle dough will begin to get tough because for those who don't know the more you play with flour, since it has gluten, the harder it becomes. Also this mixture will be sticky as you add in the flour so you can switch you using your hands once the dough isn't too sticky. Furthermore DO NOT added to much flour at once cause this will absorb too much of the little moister you have and then your dough won't stick together well at all. If you do this don't worry you can add a little water back to compensate for the lack of moisture. Moving on, once your dough can form into balls and stick together without the outer part sticking to you you're ready to move on.
Next you have to roll the dough out which may be the most difficult part of this recipe. Since flour contains gluten it will be tough to roll out. It also will want to maintain its original form since it also has that elasticity. So what you must do is put the dough down on the table and start rolling it out make you try to make it as flat as you can with out getting it too thin. For this you may want to use your rolling pin to roll front to back and side to side with great force. This will keep the dough from snapping back on you. Continue by rolling this dough up as you would a tortilla nice and tight. Then cut the dough roll into even, no more than a 1/2 inch pieces. Once you have completely cut up your roll unroll these new smaller pieces and place them on a cloth draped over a pan. And there ya have it your noodles are done. Now its time to let them sit overnight.
Once you comeback you will need some meat for your soup. I dealt with this by boiling the back meat of my chicken in a little bit of water to make a broth. As your chicken gets cooked you will want to separate the meat from the usable bone and fat of the chicken. You will get your hands messy since you must do this by hand. Next you will must add the water to a pot to begin your soup. Add the chicken and broth to the soup and bring the soup to a boil. Once the soup is boiling add your noodles in. Along with noodles and chicken you will want spices and maybe some chicken flavoring to add flavor to your soup. My partner and I added salt, pepper, onion powder, chives, etc. ,and you can really "doctor" up your soup at this point. Once your noodles are soft and have gathered back there moister your soup is done.
My soup personally may have been considered good by my partner and a few other testers, but it was a bit too thick. The flavor was very good you could really taste the onion and chicken. The noodles, on the other hand, did gather some of that chicken flavor. The noodles were also soft, but still retained some firmness which I enjoyed. The smell was a bit salty and have a hint of onion. It just reminded me of home. All in all this recipe was delicious and quite filling. If we hadn't incorporated the chicken flavoring as we did the soup may have been too watery, but thank goodness it wasn't. I will note that the soup did smell and taste a tad bit like ramen noodles.

fried chicken

First, I combined buttermilk, thyme, salt, and pepper and mixed until it was all together for the brine. Next we added the chicken into a medium container and made sure it was fully covered before before putting it into the fridge overnight.  Once the brine was finished I took the chicken out of the bowl and added it into the breading mixture. I then preheated the oven and skillet to 350 degrees.  For the breading I mixed together flour, salt, pepper and a little bit of Cajun seasoning. I then put each piece of chicken in the mix. After the skillet was fully heated I then began frying.  I added enough oil that each people of chicken would have enough.  I fried each piece of the chicken until each side was a golden brown. When the chicken would finish frying you would then move it to the cooling rack to sit.  After all the chicken was done frying I put it into the oven at 350 for 30 minutes.  Checking their internal temp after 25 minutes to see if they were at 165 degrees.  Once the temp was at 165 degrees you knew that the chicken was done and ready to be taken out of the oven. Once the chicken is done and you can taste it you will tell that the outside will be a nice golden brown and crispy and the meat inside will be so juicy and tender.  Besides the fact that the chicken was greasy it was an overall great dish.
